Neuroaffirming counselling for autistic and ADHD young people - through gaming, play, and genuine connection.
Traditional therapy doesn't work for everyone. If sitting across from a stranger and talking about your feelings sounds overwhelming, you're not alone - and you're not broken.
At Good Game Counselling, sessions happen where you already feel at home: in games, in stories, in the things you care about most. Whether that's Minecraft, Fortnite, Dungeons & Dragons, or just talking through something in a low-pressure space - we meet you there.
We work with autistic people, ADHDers, and neurodivergent young people across Australia - online or in-person in Nambour QLD. No pressure to unmask. No demand to perform. Just a space to be yourself.
How We Work →
Three things that set Good Game apart from traditional counselling.
We use identity-first language, low-demand approaches, and follow your lead. Your neurotype is a strength, not something to fix.
Not a gimmick - gaming and play are genuinely powerful tools for regulation, connection, and growth. We meet you inside the games you love.
Sessions can be funded through Improved Daily Living if you're self-managed or plan-managed. We work with plan managers and handle all the paperwork.
Four simple steps from first contact to regular sessions.
A relaxed, no-pressure chat to ask questions and work out if we're a good fit. We'll also talk about which counsellor makes the most sense for you.
We take it slow - building relationship through play, games, and just hanging out online.
Weekly or fortnightly, online or in-person. We build from the relationship at your own pace.
We regularly review how things are going. Your feedback shapes how we work together.
Founder & Counsellor
Our counsellors are neurodivergent themselves. We understand what it means to navigate a world that wasn't built for brains like ours, because we live it too.
All of our counsellors are professionally trained and registered with ACA or PACFA, so you can feel confident your young person is supported by someone both qualified and genuinely understanding.
Our approach has been developed through years of working with neurodivergent young people, and is shared across our team. Each counsellor receives additional training in our neuroaffirming, gaming and play-based approach, so you can expect a consistent and thoughtful experience.
Finding the right fit matters. During your free 15-minute consultation, we'll get a sense of what your young person needs and match them with the counsellor who's the best fit.
